BAN ON RUSSIAN MONEY.
FRENCH DECREE RESCINDED. Paris, August 23. The decree made by the French Government in 3919, which prohibited the entry into France of Russian money and banknotes, has been abrogated, following a report of the Ministry of Finance, which says that the decree was primarily based on political grounds, and in view of the total collapse of the paper rouble on the Exchange, there is no longer any need for enforcing it. The decree, it is pointed out, is ineffective in regard to the entry of metal coin, as the coin is easily brought into France in the shape of ingotSy
