THE WEITZEL CASE. STUDENTS EXONERATED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The report of the enquiry into theil charges against certain students of then Training College, arising out of theirj attendance at the Magistrate’s Court| when Miss Weitzel was recently eon-; victed of circulating literature of en- ' couraging violence and lawlessness, > now available. It is stated the students attended/ the Court through curiosity and per-* sonal sympathy with accused. They deny approval or support of her offence,: no student being aware of the circulation of unlawful literature at the*. Training College. Victoria College students denied that Miss Weitzel ever tried* to influence them with regard to the political or social principles ehe adopted. Many of them had never spoken! to Miss Weitzel, and were not aware, of the views she holds. None of the ( students concerned in the enquiry had; contributed towards the payment of Miss Weitzel’s fine.
