CHRISTCHURCH PRODUCE MARKETS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The grain and produce market (maintains its activity, and Quite an amount of business has been done during the week. Oats; are firm, but without any appreciable change in values, A grade Gartons being worth up to 2s lid at nearby country stations.

Grass seeds remain firm, with steady business doing. White clover is worth Is 2d to Is 4d, and cowgrass 2s 2%d at country stations. Italian and perennial ryegrass are also in request. Cocksfoot, for good standard machine-dressed, is worth lid, and a sale to Australia is reported to have occurred at 11 %d. To farmers, good cocksfoot is worth Bd. • Potatoes recovered during the week from their somnolent condition, due to a reported shortening of supplies in Auckland, and the Impending departure of a couple of boats with freight available. Present quotations are 32s Gd to 35s per ton.

Partridge peas have been bought at Bs, there being an. enquiry from Home. Barley has also been enquired for, but nothing is doing at present at the nominal quotation of 3s Gd.
