RIOTING IN BAVARIA.
POLICE FIRE RIFLES. AFTERMATH OF ERZBERGER MURDER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received September; 10, 1.30 a.m. Paris, Sept. 9. Advices from Mayence state that there was serious rioting at Spires, Bavaria, on the occasion of the workmen’s demonstration in connection with the murder of Herr Erzberger. The Government offices were partly demolished. Numerous arrests were made.
The workmen struck to obtain the release of those imprisoned. They‘ stormed the Government offices. The police fired their rifles, a workman being killed and many wounded.—Reuter Service.
