At the Board of Trade living wage in- , quiry, a representative of the graziers stated that a basic wage applied to rural workers would be disastrous, as the graziers were just recovering from drought and floods. He forecasted that if wages were fixed, like those of th<| city workers, the graziers would reduce theiiy output to just what their own| families could produce, thus throwing thousands out of work.—Aus.-NJZ.
