WAIKATO STOCK MARKET. The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: At Hamilton on Thursday, September 1, we had an average yarding of art classes of stock, practically the whole of which was cleared. Beef was much on the basis of the previotis week, steers selling from £9 10s to £lO ss, cows, best from £6 to £8 2s 6d, light-weights £4 5s to £5 Bs. Store steers were dull of sale, 3-year maJdng from £3 15s to £5 2s, store cows 15s to 37s 6d, 2-year . empty Shorthorn heifers, good quality, sold, under good competition up to £6 Ils for the best, second quality 18-month heifers £4 10s to £4 15s. Yearling heifers were also well competed for, bringing from £3 7s 6d to £4 5s for the best, smaller sorts £2 10s to £3, small yearling steers Ils to 17s. Sheep were iji fair supply, but little prime quality. Competition for fat ewes was fair, but forward withers made from 14s 4d to 16s lOd, ewes of same class to 15s 7d, smaller sorts lIS 6d to 13s, hoggets to 11s. . Pigs were in strong demand. Baconers made from £4 15s to £6 4s, porkers from £3 5s to £4 10s, small porkers £2 15s to £3 ss, slips £1 10s to £2 10s, weaners 16s to £1 ss.
