ENTERTAINMENTS.
EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF “NEGLECTED WIVES.” One of the most impressive and absorbing photoplay productions ever shown at Everybody’s is “Neglected Wives,” concluding to-night. This is a screen > adaptation from the famous melodrama, “Why Women Sin.” ami features the popular screen actor, Anne Luther, supported by a brilliant cast, including such well-known favorites as Claire Whitney, Charles Gerard and E. J. Radcliffe. “Neglected Wives” is a fascinating and absorbing story of intrigue, love, life and adventure. Gazettes and comedy are also on the bill. The matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m. Patrons are reminded of the big Wesley Barry (Freckles) ' production, “Go and Get it,” which commences on Monday. Plans are now at Collier’s.
THE PEOPLE’S. .1 “THE PALACE OF DARKENED WINDOWS.” To-day’s new bill at the People’s, commencing at the matinee at 2 p.m., presents a big Eastern mystery play, “The Palace of Darkened Windows.” The story relates the adventures that befall Arlee ‘Everslia and her aunt while touring in India. In Benares the ladies meet the Rajah off the province, whose polished manners fascinate the younger woman. Disregarding the warning of her sweetheart, Billy Hill, who accompanies the. party, Arlee accepts an invitation to visit the Rajah’s home, “The Palace of Darkened Windows.” Once inside, Arlee cannot get out. A Hindoo fakir learns the facts and advises Billy Hill, who with a friend, Captain Falconer, of the British Army, sets out to the rescue. After many adventures they gain entrance to the palace, only to find the Rajah has fled, taking Arlee with him. The story comes to a thrilling climax in the Rajah’s desert camp on the banks of the Ganges. Gazette, comedy and “Moonriders” are also on the bill.
THE EMPIRE. “ONCE TO EVERYWGMAN.” To-night will see the final screening of the superb “Jewel” special feature, “Once to Everywoman,” at the Empire Theatre. It is a picture that bares with a burning intensity of emotion the souls of two women. It is great because it makes vivid on the screen the innermost feelings of a woman to whom ambition was a god until events proved it an idol of clay. It is tremendous because it pierces straight to the depth of a pure-gold heart —a mother heart—whose benign love spreads itself from the screen in a living stream of life that floods with responsive emotion the breast of every man, woman and child that sees it. Seats for the final screening to-night can now be reserved at Collier’s.
