On Wednesday, at the residence of Mrs. A. Waters, Mrs. J. Harrison and Mrs. Waters held a bridge party, each guest taking a gift for the fancy stall for the Henui sale of work, to be held next month. Mrs. James Wilson and Mrs. A. MacDiarpiid were the prizewinners.

Many parties have been given for the young folk during their holidays, the hostesses this week being Mrs. Nolan, Mrs. Walter Bayly, Mrs. D’Arcy Robertson, and Mrs. Hickman Russell.
