GERMAN INDUSTRY.
KRUPP’S NEW TRUST. OUTPUT OF SHIPPING. By Telegraph.—-Ptmh Awn Copyright. Berlin, August 31. Krupp’s new trust includes the General Electricity Company, Rhenish metal works, and the Wolff Company. It also plans to absorb four new coal and engineering concerns, making the trust of a magnitude equal to Herr Stitmes* elec-tro-mining concern. The Rhenish metal works before the war were Krupp's greatest competitor. More than half of Germany’s locomotive construction is now concentrated in Krupp’s new group. •
In eight months of 1921 German shipyards launched 53 vessels of over 1000 tons, including seven 12.000 ton vessels and ten between 8000 and 10,000 tons. These, with foreign purchases, increased Germany’s a commercial fleet by 400,000 tons in seven months.
