LADIES’ TOURNAMENT 4 . MEETING AT WANGANUI. By Telegraph.--Ptms Association Wanganui. Last Night. The Wanganui Ladles’ Golf Club open championship meeting commenced to-day in brilliant weather. The qualifying round for the championship Resulted: Mrs. Collinson 91, Misses Grembrlll and Brandon 93, Mrs. Grace 94, Miss Bell 94, Mrs. McLean 95, Mrs. Guy Williams 97, Miss Cave 99. )n the first round Miss Grembrlll defeated Miss Brandon, 6 and 5. The winner went out in 37 and round in 82—a ladies’ record for the links. Mrs. defeated Miss Cave, 6 and 5; Mrs. Guy Williams defeated Mrs. Collinson, 3 and 1; Mrs. Grace defeated Miss Bell, 2 up. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB, Following are the results of, the medal match played by the ladies of the New’ Plymouth Club for Miss Leatham s trophy: Mrs. Pearless 119 26 S 3 Miss Gavin ‘ 95 It) 85 Mrs. Butcher 96 19 86 Mrs. Johns 101 15 86 HHI 121 36 S 3 Next Tuesday the ladles will play a bogey match for Mrs. Wade’s trophy-, instead of the silver button medal match, as the final of the ladles’ championship may bo played.
