Loans for returned soldiers. INFLUENZA IN TONGA. Br Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright Received August 31, 8.10 p.m. Suva, August 31. The Fiji Government has authorised a loan of £36,000 for returned soldiers* to purchase residences, farms or businesses. The maximum of an individual loan is £lOOO. Influenza in Tonga is abating. Last week’s report shows there were 41 cases, two of which were pneumonic. There were no deaths and no Europeans were affected.
