ELECTRIC POWER.
To the Editor.
Sir, —In reply to Mr. W. H. Were: Mr. Were suggests that 1 have taken the remarks complained of too literally. They were emphatic, definite and repeated, and there was only one conclusion to come to— viz., that the speakers meant what they said. Mr. Were’s letter is a sort of half apology*, not adequate to the occasion. The Stratford Borough Council never has taken, nor does it intend to take, any action which will retard the progress of tbe district. To ask for an assurance like thia is an impertinence which aggravates the original offence.—l am, etc.,
