ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Whitecliffs Dairy Company was held oxi August 24, Mr. H. Wells, chairman of directors, presiding over a full muster of shareholders. In moving the adpotion of the report and balance sheet the chairman congratulated the company on the excellent result of the year’s work—a record payout and an increased output. The milk received shows an increase of 959,560 over last year and an increase of 1,578,053 lb in two years. The average test was 4.21, the yield 2:57, and the milk per lb of cheese 9.23.
The chairman explained that owing to the growth of the company the large amount of £952 had been spent in replacing worn-out plant, etc., but in spite of that the pay-out compared favorably with that of other companies.
The chairman moved a hearty vote of thanks to the manager, Mr. Jfhogren, the secretary. Mr. Pepperell, and Assistant. Mr. Cartwright, for their services during the year. Several shareholders spoke as to the excellent work done by the staff, and a bonus of £5O was voted them. The chairman was voted £2O honorarium, and it was decided to pay directors 10s per meeting for the coming year.
Mr. H. Wells was re-elected director and Mr. W. Moller‘was elected in place of Mr. G. Lambert, who did not seek reelection. Mr. A. J. Tunbridge was appointed auditor. At the subsequent meeting of directors Mr. H. Wells was re-elected chairman.
