An energetic party proceeded to the vicinity of the mountain and obtained a huge lorry load of punga trunks. These are to be used as the ground work for decorating, and a scheme of uniform decorations throughout the three huge halls and a large marquee in the horse bazaar has been planned. Each member of the decorating committee is an enthusiastic worker and they make light of their respective jobs. The dancing floor has had special attention already, and when the grand inarch commences the committee m charge of this important section of the ball feel confident that it will be equal to the best in the district. The orchestra of eleven instruments will be located this year at the far end of the •dancing hall on a raised dais, thus I occupying less of the floor space than previously. dancing hall assures plenty of seating accommodation. The supper room will be located in the hall fronting the main entrance of the building. The ladies’ committee in charge, hfeaded by Airs. Lovell and Aliss Stringer, have their arrangement? well in hand. Gn the front page of* this issue will be found the dance programme together with the music to be played.
