TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

THE MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Wednesday and yesterday. Present: Messrs. H. J. Lowe (chairman), U. J. Ryan. N. R. Cleland, J. W. H. Martin, and S. Blake. 'lhe following applications for land were approved: Section 9 block 13. Cape, IT. \V. Eliiho-n ; section 225. Huatoki Setllemcnt, A. -I. Cross. The following applications for land were refused: Section 30 block 14, Cape. Robert Morrison; section 9 block, 13, Cape, F. J. Wollcr. Proposals for the expenditure of thirds by the Ohura County were approved. The surrender -of •section 26 block 2, Piopiotea West, held by T. J. Brennan, was agreed to. The following applications for transfer were approved: Part lot 1 section 5, Town Belt of New Plymouth, G. Brewer to C. Knox: section 517, Town of New Plymouth, J. C. B. Walsh tn J. H. Foster; sections 12 and 13 block 3. Omona, A. S. Wood to G. H. Steele. The applications L< transfer part section 162, Hua and Waiwakaiho from H. IT. and O. C. Allen to A. E. Benefield, and section 10 block 8, Opaku, from W. J. Williams to S. J. G. Francis, were refused. The transfer of section 43 block 9, Cape, from H. J. Smith to Percy Jones, was recommended for the Minister’s approval.
