VICTORIAN ELECTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, August 22. There aro 19 and not 24 candidates returned unopposed, of whom 11 are Ministerial and 7 DIRECT ACTION CONDEMNED. Brisbane, August 22. Mr. Theodore, Premier of Queensland, vigorously attacked 'the industrial Workers of the World organisation, which he declared was engineering strikes in the sugar fields. He called on the rank and file of the Labor movement to uphold industrial arbitration and political action and to purge the ranks of direct actionists.
