MOTOR-CYCLING.
THE HAWERA CLUB. The Hawera Motor Cycle Club has a credit balance of over £2OO. At its annual meeting last week the following officers were for the ensuing term: Patron, Mr. E, Dixon, M.P.; president, Mr. B. L. Joll; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. H. Leeee, J. Gray, B. C. Bennett, W. O’Callaghan, M. J. Lynskey and A. F. Cole; club captain, Mr. W. J. Claringbold; vice-captain, Mr. W. W. Davy; handicapper, Mr. A. Barley; treasurer, Mr. G. Mahoney; solicitor, Mr. H. L. Spratt; secretary, Mr. W. A. Spragg; committee, Messrs. Patterson, Gytfe, Kean, Pettett, Burley and Dolan. It was decided to make a thorough canvass of the district for new members. It was decided that the captain and vicecaptain draw up a programme of runs and hill-climbing competitions to kike place during the coming year. Mr. Spragg was elected as the club’s representative on tko Auto Cycle Union, and Messis. Spragg and Barley were elected to attend tlie annual conference of the Auto Cycle Union. An honorarium of £l5 was granted to the late secretary, Mr. W. V. Paterson. *
