WHISKY FOR AMERICA.
LARGE IMPORTS REVEALED. Vancouver, August 2. Although Uncle Sam nominally does not take a single drink, customs figures show that the imports of intoxicants into the United State# amounted in value to 5,000,000 dollars during the last fiscal year, being ten times greater than in the previous year. The whisky imported was 200.000 gallons, as compared with 30,000 gallons in the year before.
