Tte result of the first round is as follows: Mrs. Johns defeated Miss Goldwater, 2 up. Miss Gavin won by default from Miss Simpson. Miss Thomson won hy default freon Mrs. MacDiamid. Miss Rundle defeated Mrs. W’ade. 4 up and 3. Miss Rollo defeated Mrs. Butcher, 2 up and 1. Mrs. Burke defeated Miss Read, 5 up and Miss Brewster defeated Mrs. Quilliam, 6 up and 5. Miss Bremer defeated Miss Stanford. 2 up and 1. On Tuesday next the limit handicap players will dlay the second round of the eclectic match tor Mrs. Blackley’s prize.
