THE MEAT MARKET. PRICES AT WESTFIELD. Br Telaararih.—Press Association Auckland, Last Night. At Westfield markets to-day beef was in short supply. Prime showed a decided advance on last week's rates. Extra choice ox £1 18s, prime £1 17s to £1 19s, plain £1 10s to £1 ss; cow, extra prime £1 19s, prime £1 10s to £1 4s, unfinished 17s Gd to 12s Gd. Sheep.—Medium yarding, quality better than usual, prices about on a par with previous week. Extra heavy wethers 355, primo 23s Vd to 20s, unfinished 19s to 16s; ewes (extra good) 19s; prime 18s to 14s, others 12s 6d to 8s Gd. , Calves.—A fair yarding of good sorts met • . h a ready sale.
