MOTOR CYCLE COLLISION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Eketahuna, August 17. A motor cycle ridden by two men named Burling and another named Crewe collided head on with a motor last night near Hamua. All are in the Pahiatua hospital, F. Burling with a broken thigh and other injuries, the others with slighter injuries. The cycle and car were badly knocked about. MAORI GIRL’S SUICIDE. Cambridge. August 17. Yesterday afternoon a Maori girl, 15 years of age, committed suicide by shooting herself through the chest with a double-barrelled gun. The girl was a milkmaid and engaged by a Maori farmer at Matakohc, Pukekura, near Cambridge. It is thought the deed was (lone in a fit of anger.
