WASHINGTON CONFERENCE.
MR. MASSEY GOULD NOT ATTEND IMPORTANT SESSION EXPECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 17, 8.20 p.m. London, August 16. The Australian Press Association interviewed Mr. W. F. Massey in reference to the American proposal to include Dominion representatives in the British delegation to the Washington Conference. Mr. Massey regretted that it would be impossible for him to leave New Zealand to attend the conference. He expected unusually important business to be dealt with at the ■forthcoming session, which will demand his unremitting attention and constant at-tendance.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. CHINA’S DELEGATION. Received August 17, 9.10 p.m. Peking, August I’d. China’s delegation to the armament conference, headed by the Foreign Minister, Yen. will consist of thirty-two members, including one chief, four associate delegates, ten councillors, and sixteen clerks.
