LADIES’ MATCH. NEW PLYMOUTH DEFEAT HAWERA. A return inter-dub match between the. ladles of Hawera and New Flymouth was played on the Waiwakaiho links yesterday. The Hawera ladies motored through and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent, the links being in splendid order. The New Plymouth ladies won by S games to 2, whilst one game was halved. Details of play are (Hawera players being mentioned first) : Mrs. McLean, all square with Miss Gavin. Mrs. French lost to Miss Brewster, 5 up and 4. Miss Burgess lost to Miss Rundle, 6 up and Mrs. Smith lost to Mrs. ButchcV, 7 up and 2. Mrs. Thomson lost io Mrs. Quilliam, 5 up and 4. Mrs. Foyster lest to Mrs. Johns, fi up and 5, Mrs. Collins lost to Miss Rollo, 5 up and 4. Mrs. Classon lost to Miss Stanford, 1 up. Mrs. Sulsted defeated Mrs. McQuade, 4 up Mrs. Bright defeated Miss Ree± 1 up. Mrs. Brodie lost to Mrs. Burke, 5 up and 4.
