PROBLEM OF SILESIA.
POLAND DISAPPOINTED. ANTI-BRITISH FEELING. GERMANY CLAIMS ALL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received August 16, 9.10 p.m. London, August 15. The Morning Poet’s Warsaw correspondent states Poland is disappointed at the Silesian decision and is doubtful of the unbiased character of future action, believing England will control the League. The Government is preparing a Note asking for an immediate meeting. Anti-British feeling is increasing. Warsaw, August 14. The decision about Upper Silesia has not been warmly received in Poland. A special meeting of the Cabinet decided to send a Note to the Allies declaring that the reference of the problem to the League would be to no purpose. It would only prolong the conditions of uncertainty in Upper Silesia and was calculated to cause Poland irreparable harm. POLAND AND GERMANY. INVITED TO LEAGUE MEETING. Paris. August 15. The League of Nations has invited Poland to send a delegate to the League during the consideration of the Silesia problem. Germany will be invited to become a temporary member of the League and also to send a representative. It is reported from Berlin that no negotiations are proceeding .between Germany and Poland. The former continues to claim the whole province, including the district in which there is an indisputable Polish majorty.
