The Taranaki Jockey Club District Committee met last night. Present:' Messrs. L. A. Nolan (chairman), G. Fraser, S. Pitt, A. Good, J. Gray, D. J. Malone and B. H. Chaney. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. C. H. Washer, O. W. Sole, J. McLeod, and N. King. The following licenses were granted:— Trainers, E. George, I'. Coffey, D. P. Moroghan, D. 3. Goodwin. A. Reijjjerson, and T. Carson. Jockeys, W. H. COP»‘stake, ,T. O. Hockley, W. A. West, H. Gordon, T. S. Webb and P. Webby. Apprentice jockeys, M. Conway. Gentlemen riders. S. J. Bailey, D. George, A. B. Cole, C. T. Cole, F. C. Anstis, H. .1. Chong, H. H. Marchant and Pohe Tito. The transfer of apprenticeship from R. J. Flower to J. Brown was approved. Tho use of the club’s course was granted to the North Taranaki Hunt Club for Its race meeting on September 3.
