The day of Mr. H. C. Bishop’s clearing sale at Bell Block lias been altered from Tuesday 16th to Wednesday 17th irfst. Note advt. The popular people’s service with special music will be held at Whiteley Church on Sunday evening, the musical portion beginning at 6.45. There will be anthems, solos, and popular hymns, and the soloists Will be Miss V. Lambert and Messrs. Ashley MacDonald and W. P. Okey. The Rev. W. J. Elliott’s subject by special request will be: “Is the world growing better.” Prominent citizens and all patrons of sport are gordially invited.
