SUDDEN DEATH OF M.P.
COLLAPSE IN THE HOUSE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 9, 5.5 p.m. London, August 8. Mr T. Wintringha-m (Liberal M.P. for Louth) died suddenly while sitting in the House of Commons reading room. The House immediately adjourned. Mr. Wintringham complained that he felt unwell when he arrived at the House, but he attended a party meeting and put a couple of questions in the chamber. At eight o’clock he ordered a meal, which he awaited. When he collapsed medical members of the House tried heart massage unavailingly. Deceased was a timber merchant and agri-culturist.—Aus.-N.Z.
