FIRES.
NEWSPAPER OFFICE SUFFERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, August 8. A fire occurred on Saturday afternoon in the office of the Marlborough Press at Picton. The outbreak originated in the storeroom, and before the flames were quenched had destroyed the greater portion of the building. Fortunately the machinery, which included a linotype, was saved. The paper hopes to resume publication on Friday.
