The National Sailors’ and Firemen’s Union has given notice of the intention of withdrawing from the National 1 Transport Federation owing to the I adoption by the federation conference of a resolution which the union contends i gives the federation full power to call out on strike any constituent union without the union’s authorisation. WELSH MINERS AT WORK. London, August 2. The Welsh steam coal trade is rapidly recovering. Although only about 190,000 men have yet resumed, they are working so well that, with the Ebbw Vale and several other collieries, which are starting shortly, it is expected the full output will be attained by the end of September.
