EXPLOSION OF GELIGNITE. By Telegraph —Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. An explosion of gelignite occurred in a tunnel at the Mangahao hydro-electric works to-day. Alexander Murdoch, aged 33. being killed instantly and Michael Lynch received serious facial injuries and will probab’.y lose his sight. Murdoch, who was married six weeks ago. saw considerable service with the Tunnelling Corps at the war.
