CUSTOMS DUTY.
NEW PLYMOUTH FIGURES. The sum of £3,955 6s 3d waa collected in Customs duty at the port of Ne<w Plymouth during .July, this representing a considerable decrease as compared with the corresponding month of 1920,when the amount received wae £9,072 3s 9d. Beer duty for the month was £l6O 15s 3d, less than half of that for last July’a total, £332 2s Bd. The details are:—
■Since the beginning of the year the the total collected in Customs at New Plymouth amounts to £45,768 10s Id, and beer duty levied amounts to £1590 10s 6d.
