RIFLE SHOOTING.

INGLEWOOD v. WAITARA (From. Onr Inglewood Correspondent.) The return match between tho Inglewood and Waitara Defence Kitto Clubs was tlrert at, Inglewood on Thursday in almost perfect weather conditions. The result was in favor of Inglewood, which fact it is hoped will be sufficient ground on which to base a. further contest this season. Tiie shooting was not begun as promptly as could have been wished, so that at the longer range, seven shots each per man were allowed instead of teu. The conditions were for nine >?nen aside to fire at. 500 and 600 yards, rl’c score of the. lowest man on either side not to count, and the result was a win for Inglewood by 22 points, as the following scores show. Lowest- man.—Rflmn. McGrath, 39 —19—58. Altogether the meeting was a very enjoyable one, with a keen contest to give a sharp edge to it.
