WELLINGTON LOAN.
ISSUE ON LONDON MARKET.
The Wellington City Council, at its meeting last week decided to go upon the London market for a £759,000 loan.
The Mayor, Mr. R. A. Wright, stated at the conclusion of the meeting that he intended to ask the city solicitor to proceed at once with the drafting of the necessary resolutions and the prospectus for transmission to London as soon as he received the city engineer’s recommendations for the expenditure of the money.
