Mr. James Clarke, a well-known pastoralist, pearl- shelter, and racehorse owner, in giving evidence before the Federal Taxation Commission in Brisbane, said that land in Queensland was worth less to-day than in 1910. He urged that there should be no tax at all on land producing sheep, cattle, or agricultural produce.
