AND DAIRY INDUSTRY. By Tolegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 28. Representatives of producers and shipping interests met in conference here yesterday to discuss freights on dairy produce for the coming season. Those present comprised sub-committees of the executive of the National Dairy Association and the South Island Dairy Association respectively, representatives of the Exporters' Association, and representatives of the shipping companies. A preliminary discussion took place, and when the conference rose it was officially reported that no further progress could be made until about ten days hence, when another meeting will be >beld.
