WEDDINGS.
WASLEY—-PEACJH. A pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Church Normanby, on June j 22, when Beatrice Maud, youngest ! daughter ci Mr. G. Wasley, Normanby, | was married to William Dixon, only son of Mr. Peach, of Gisborne, the Rev. A. Liversedge being the officiating mini-. . ster. The bride, who was given away ! by her father, wore ■ a handsome dress I of ivory crepe de chine and the orthodox *;veil and orange blossom, and carried a | pretty bouquet of white flowers and 'maidenhair fern. She was attended as bridesmaids by Misses Susie Crosby I and Vera Twidle, who wore salmon pink crepe de chine with hats to match. I Misses*Thelma Crann and Eileen Kelsen ! were 'flower girls, whose dresses were of pale heliotrope silk, with hats to match and baskets of flowers. Mr. Peach was attended by Mr. Lynskey as best man and Mr. A. Wasley as groomst man.. After the ceremony the jedding ' breakfast was partaken of in the Town Had, where nearly 200 guests assembled, the usual toasts being honored. The. happy couple left during the after noon for the north, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s traveldress was a handsome navy blue eos- | tume.—Star. FREI -OGLE. A quiet but pretty wedding took place ut . the Methodist Church, Hawera, on July 6, when David Frei, of ’Normanby, was married to Daisy, I youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ! George Ogle, Glover Road, Hawera. ! The Rev. Liversedge officiated. The i bride, who was given away by her 1 father, wore a navy tailored costume j with velvet toque and black fox fur, the. gift 01 the bridegroom. Miss I Lillian Ogle, sister of the bride, was the only bridesmaid. She wore a costume with felt hat. Mr. Stafford Ogle acted as best man. The happy couple left by mail train en route for Auckland and Hamilton, where the honeymoon was spent. FRANKS—KEIG. A quiet but pretty wedding was j solemnised by the Rev. Mr. Avery in 1 the Methodist Church, Kaponga,,* on ; July 20, the contracting parties being I Thomas Frederick Franks, son of Mr. , and Mrs. W. Franks. RiverlU, and ■ Cora Elizabeth Gray Keig, daughter of ] Airs. Keig and the late Mr. IT. Keig, of Christchurch. The bride, who entered I the church with her mother, looked j charming in a smart navy costume, a large white hat., and carried a lovely
shower bouquet.. The two bridesmaids. Miss Nellie Franks, sister of the bridegroom. and Miss Edna Keig, sister of the bride, were dressed in pretty grey costumes and dainty hats, and carried small bouquets of white heath. Mr. W. Cassidy acted ns best man. Miss M. Evans presided at the organ. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the bride. After the reception held ~at the residence of the bride’s mother the happy couple left for a short visit to New Plymouth.—Star.
