The scenes nt the Labor Congress held at Lille, which was marred by a serious *racai. were vnparnlled. The congress was held in an immense winter garden under a glass roof. The affray began by certain Bolshevik extremists trying to eject a moderate named Domoulin from the tribune. The mod< rates rushed to protect their comrade, and the whole congress was thereupon tmn ferred into a seething mass of strug/ung and perspiring humanity, resembling an enormous football scrimmag:-. In front of the tribune Monmousseau a giant bull,ik»ocked the secretary of th? Parisian Federation and used his fi-ts and feet against the mwlerates nearby . Monmousseau’w, supporters then seized irim '■hairs and hurled them into the ranks of die moderate de fenders.
