MOTOR FATALITY.
CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. By Telegraph.—Pres* Association Gisborne, Last Night. At an inquest held to day concerning the death of Eugene Doherty, 20 years of age, who died as the result of injuries sustained by being knocked down when cycling home by a motorcar driven by Norman MacFarlane Fulton, the jury returned the following verdict: “Doherty met his death by being run over by a motor-car on Jfily 9, the said motor-car being driven by Norman Fulton, who we consider was under the influence of liquor at the time of the accident.” Fulton was subsequently charged with manslaughter and a remand was granted till August 4. Bail was allowed.
