The value of herd te-ting is reflected in the catalogue of the fifth annual show and sale of British-Friesian cattle, organised by the society that fosters tha interests of rhe black and white breed. One hundred bulls, and 42 females are to be sold, and special attention is called to the fact, mat every bull has a 1009 gallon cross in its pedigree, while the crosses of the coveted 2000 gallon strains are also much in evidence. The catalogue is well arranged, the information given therein being extensive and convincing, and the milk yields are most clearly ayd readably set out on the "at-a-glance” principle, official yields being specially distinguished from private figures. The milk yields of the dams go up to 2053 gallons, and 10 entries have been received for the special prize for bulls by bulls from 1000 gallon cows and out of 1000 gallon dams.
