The Union Company’s Corinna arrived at New Plymouth at 9.30 yesterday morning with 743 tons of cargo from Nelson, Wellington :.nd South Island ports. Included inutile cargo were transhipments from the Tahiti -and •Moeraki and a quantity of kerosene, benzine a.nd motor spirit. The Corinna is expected to sail for south at 3 o’clock this afternoon, THE KIA ORA. The loading of ti e Kia Ora is expected to be completed in time for the vessel to sail for Wanganui roadstead to-morrow. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa, which has been bar-bound at Manukati bar for several days, left Onehuny,! yesterday afternoon, but no word of her having crossed the bar was received. THE JACKSON HEAD LIGHT. The Marine Department advise that the Jackson Head beacon, which was recently reported to be working irregularly, Is now in good order again. TASMANIA LEFT NEWPORT. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received cable adviep that the steajper Tasmania arrived at Newport News on the 17th Inst, from Wellington, and sailed on the 18th inst. for London. PIAKO AT LIVERPOOL. Tie New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified by cable that the Piako arrived at Liverpool on the 19th inst. from Wellington via Panama. MANUKA LEFT SYDNEY. A Press Association message reports that the Union Company’s inter-colonial passenger steamer Manuka sailed from Sydney at 4.15 p.m. on Wednesday for Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on Sunday. WAIRUNA FROM ’FRISCO. Cable advice has been received by the Union Company that the Wairuna left San Francisco on thd - 10th inst., cargo-laden for Apia and Wellington. The vessel is due at Apia about August 12. NEW COASTAL COMPANY. A new shipping company has been registered in Dunedin with a capital of £20,000. The object of tte new company will be to purchase 'Steamers -suitable for the l trade between Dunedin, way ports, and Wanganui. It is expected that the first steamer will reach New Zealand in time to enter the trade about November next. The subscribers to the memorandum and articles of association are Messrs. S. Holm' (Wanganui), R. K. Ireland (Oarnaru), R. Cuddie, R. J. Hudson, C. Speight, K. S. Ramsay, and J. B. Shacklock (Qunedin).
