DARING ROBBERY.
JEWELLER’S WINDOW SMASHED. ! WATCHES AND CHAINS STOLEN, i By Association. Hamilton, July 20. An impudent burglary occurred just before 7 o’clock this morning when a man broke the window of M. Kissin’s shop and scooped from a rack a number of gold watches and chains yalued at £lOO and then decamped. This incident was seen by some young ladies who lived opposite, and they rang up the police, but when the latter arrived the thief had disappeared. His description tallies with that of a man who came into town on Saturday with three others and did not return to his boarding-house this morning.
