PRINCE AS JEWEL SMUGGLER. 3y Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 20, 10.30 p.m. Berlin, July 19. Another Hohenzollem scandal has caused a sensation in the German newspapers. Prince Leopold of Prussia, uncle of the Kaiser, and one of the wealthiest Hohenzollema before the revolution, has been living at Lugano, Switzei land, whither he escaped with a considerable store of jewellery. When in Switzerland he pawned the jewels for half a million Swiss francs, and the Prussian Ministry of Finance promptly sent a representative to Switzerland and repurchased the jewela An inquiry has now been ordered to discover how the Prince smuggled the property out of Germany.—Aus.-NJZ.
