Due New Plymouth September. CORINNA THIS MORNING. The Corinna, which is bringing cargo from southern ports, left Nelson at 5 p.m. yesterday for New Plymouth, and is expected, to arrive here about 8 o’clock this morning. She should leave for southern ports ■ some time to-morrow. • KIA ORA, LOADING. The loading of the. Kia Ora, which, lias been Iri port since Saturday,, was delayed for several hours yesterday by heavy rain. At the present rate of progress the loading of the vessel should be complete for her to sail for Wanganui roadstead on Saturday morning. THE RARAWA. A telegram was received by , the Northern Steam Ship Company yesterday to the effect, that the Rarawa was still bar-bound, and the trip had been abandoned, but that it was hoped to dispatch ti e vessel on the usual run to-day. in that case New Plymouth will be reached to-morrow morning.

FORT CAROLINE TUTS BACK. A telegram was received yesterday afternoon stating that the Port Caroline? which left Wellington at 7 o’clock yesterday morning for Brisbane, put back at 9.30 a.m. owing to engine trouble. PALOONA STRIKES A GALE. A Press Association message from Invercargill states that the Paloona, which has arrived from Melbourne, struck a violent gale on Friday and was hove to for 34 hours. Heavy seas swept the decks, but no damage was sustained. lONIC AT SOUTHAMPTON.' The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company have heen -notified by cable that the lonic arrived at Southampton on Sunday evening from Wellington via Panaipa and ports. She left Wellington on June 4. THE PAPAROA. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Paparoa is to leave Auckland tomorrow for Whakatane and Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from London. The vessel is due at Wellington about next Wednesday to complete discharge. THE MORTON ABBEY. The steamer Morton Abbey, 6588 tons (ex Rheinland) is to leave Rotterdam next Monday for Australian ports. Her cargo will include consignments for New Zealand. The Sydney agents are J. Sanderson and Co. PORT STEPHENS BRINGS COAL. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Stephens, which is reported by Press Association to havo left Home a few days ago for New Zealand, is bringing a cargo of coal. . SHROPSHIRE LEFT NEWPORT NEWS. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received cable advice that the Shropshire left Newport News on the 15th inst. for Southampton and London, en route from Welllngion.
