WEDDING.

shutter—-McCracken. A very pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Stratford, on Wednesday, July 6, when Muriel Jane, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. AV. McCracken, of ! Pembroke Road, was married to Mr.’ | George Ronald Shotter, of Okato, eldest i son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Shotter, of Midhirst. The ceremony was performed by i the Rev. J. McKenzie. The bride, who i entered the church on the arm of her I father, wore a pretty frock of ivory [ crepe de chine, trimmed with dewdrop net and silver beads. She wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her two sisters, the Misses Ivy and OlFve McCracken, as bridesmaids, who wore dresses of lavender and lemon crepe de chine respectively, with pretty georgette hats of the same shades, and carried bouquets of chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Little Miss Elma Jones, niece of the bride, made a pretty little flower girl, dressed in white silk with touches of pink, and she carried a posy of pink flowers. The bridegroom was attended by hit brother, Mr. Vernon Shotter, as best man, and Mr. Harry James, of Hawera, as groomsman. The ‘bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold pendant set with diamonds, and to the bridesmaids gold cameo rings, and to the flower girl a gold brooch set with rubies. After the ceremony the guests sat down to a wedding breakfast in the Forresters’ ’ Hall, where the usual toasts were duly honored and responded to. The happy couple later left for Napier, where their honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a smart navy costume with silk braid and navy hat with touches of gold.
