Easterner, from New, York. Due August 16. Due New Plymouth September. KIA ORA LOADING. The loading of the Kia Ora was commenced yesterday morning and was continued throughout the day. If favorable weather i conditions prevail the vessel should be ready 'to sail for Wanganui about Thursday or Friday. KAMO BERTHED. The Union Company's Kamo, which arrived off the port at 5.45 p.m. on Sunday, and which was anchored in the stream over night, was berthed at 7 o’clock yesterday morning. The Kamo, which has coal from Greymouth and general cargo from Wellington and Plcton, tad a stormy passage from the latter port. Leaving' - On Friday afternoon she put back to Picton after proceeding as far as the entrance to the Sounds, and when the voyage was resumed on Saturday the sea was still very, rough. She is expected to sail for Grey mouth this afterRARAWA BAR-BOUND. The Northern Company -adviso that the Rarawa left Onehunga at 3.20 p.m. yesterday, but is bar-bound at Manukau bar owing to the rough weather. Th A vessel las passengers and 100 tons of cargo for this port. It is probable that If the weather moderates the Rarawa will cross the bar this morning.
HORORATA LEFT CAPETOWN. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received cable advice that the Hororata left Capetown on July 9 for Australian ports, en route from London. CANADIAN SKIRMISHER AT AUCKLAND. A telegram from Auckland states that the Canadian Skirmisher, the first of the Cana-, dian Government refrigerated steamers, arrived on Saturday-evening from Vancouver. The steamer carries part cargo of frozen fish for Melbourne aud Sydney. CORINNA COLLIDES WITH WHARF. When the Union Company's cargo steamer Corinna was arriving at Wellington at 1.55 pain, on Sunday, the vessel canted the wrong way while berthing at the Taranaki Street wharf and collided with the structure. The top stringer near the. end of-, the wharf was smashed by the impact, and a plate on the forecastle in the top-sides of the vessel was, split. Temporary repairs will be effected.
