Importations to Great Britain of frozen miltton from all sources in 1920 amounted to 8,650,209 carcases, as compared with 6,426,181 careases in 1919 The increase was therefore 2,224,028 car cases, or 34. G per cent. Australian supplies were. augmented by 1,365,334 car cases, and New Zealand by 1,046,970 carcases.' Arrivals of lamb during the year totalletf 3,8.30,920 carcases, against the restricted total of 3.482,219 carcases in 1919. The increase represented .354, 701 careases, or 10.2 per cent. Australia despatched 956,727 carcases more, but from New Zealand, owing to the special exports to the United States, 705,726 earcases fewer were received than in 1919. . Mutto.n and lamb together aggregated 12.487,129 carcases, as compared with 9,908,400 carcases in 1919, being an increase of 2,578,729, or 26 per cent. The imports of frozen beef totalled 3,836,920 quarters, or 31.8 per cent, over the preceding year’s arrivals, which amounted to 3,695,025 quarters. There was an increase of 107,245 quarters from New Zealand, but Australian shipments showed a i£rop of 107,245 quarters. . Receipts of chilled beef for the year were 510,817 quarters, as compared with only 52,818 quarters in 1919: but the imports ir *?.13 were 2,991,000
