CONFERENCE NOT SITTING,
OWING TO IRISH CONFERENCE.

The Premiers’ Conference did not meet to-day owing to Mr. Lloyd George’s engagement with De Valeia. To-morrow's conference will be similarly cancelled on account of De Valera. Meantime, however, various committees are proceeding. Mr. W. F. Massey is confident that a wireless chain will be established, even if relays are necessary. Mr. Massey is receiving-'' cables from New Zealand assuming that the Premiers are participating in the Irish negotiations., but he reiterates that the conference has not. intervened in Ireland, either individually or collectively, with the exception of General Smuts.—Aus.-NJZ.
