The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house undet date 11th Instant:—There was a fair attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by buyers being fairly active, au4 prices as compared with the close of prececli ing series ruled about 10 per cent, lower fa| crossbred wool and 7% per cent, to 10 pej cent, lower for merino. The opening catai logouts were fairly representative.
