ENGLISH TOURISTS FUSILADED. A PEER’S NEPHEW KILLED, By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 14, 10.50 p.m. Rome, July 13. English tourists in a motor-car were caught between the rioting Faseisti and Socialists at Viterbo. The Socialists, mistaking the tourists for Faseisti, riddled the car with bullets, killing a boy named Beckett, a nephew of Lord Grimthorpe.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ANOTHER VERSION. THREE PEOPLE INJURED. Received July 14, 10.45 p.m. Rome, July 13. A renewal of the Faseisti terrorism in the provinces resulted in a tragedy to Britishers in Viterbo. The Socialist inhabitants of the town rushed to arms to repel an advance of Faseisti, whose •activities in the neighbouring villages ended in killing a peasant. A motorcar containing an English family named Beckett was entering Viterbo. The party was mistaken for Fascist! and fired on, one of the party being killed and three wounded.—Reuter Service.
