FUTURE PROGRESS OF TARANAKI.

DEPENDS UPON ADEQUATE FINANCE. Everyone with money to invest should rally round the Farmers’ Co-op., which, at great expense, is endeavoring to assure the future progress of Taranaki by offering 8 per cent, interest upon deposits in order to prevent money continuing to leave the province as a result of the appeals of outside firms at attractive rates of interest.

A good, deal of money has already been deposited with the Farmers’ Co-op. during the past week, but it is a matter which does not concern the farmers alone. It affects the townspeople equally. If money continues to leave the province as it has been doing, townspeople will feel the pinch more than the farmer, and perhaps they will regret, when it is too late, that they have not given their assistance to the project. Ask your banker or solicitor what the position will be if the money continues to flow outside. If you have only £lOO, hand it in, for an accumulation of such sums will represent a considerable total, and with £50,000 the Co-op. can assist the province through any bad period that may be ahead. Don’t be carried away by outside of-, fers, no matter how attractive they may be, but stick to your own province, and put your money where you can see it. working, and where it can greatly assist in the development of Taranaki’s resources.

Call at any of the Farmers’ Co-op. branches to-day, or, better still, get into touch by letter or personally with the general manager (Mr. T. Taylor), or the chairman of directors (Mr. Alex Hunter).
